INWARD Gems: teacher well-being reflection card with six reflection prompts and one small step

INWARD · Who I Am

A small pause for the person behind the teacher. Take a moment to check in, listen to your body, name what matters, protect your energy, reach out, and notice the good.

How to use

Choose one gem, read the question, and reflect for a moment. Complete the “My One Small Step” space with one kind action for yourself.

Guided Breathing Activities

Inward Gems Breath

For teachers. Take a moment before class or between lessons. Let your breathing settle at a comfortable pace and notice how you feel.

Gratitude Breath

For teachers. Breathe in. Let it out. Breathe in again and hold for four seconds. As you breathe out, let go of what overwhelms you, what causes you stress, and whatever keeps you from feeling grateful. Practice at your own pace.

Respiración de gratitud para docentes

Follow the Breathing Path · Sigue la montañita de la gratitud

For students. Take a moment each day to follow the little mountain with your finger or your eyes. Breathe in as you go up and breathe out as you go down, at a comfortable pace. At the end, think of one thing you’re grateful for today.

WHAT MATTERS?

What truly matters in my teaching? What will I carry forward?

You deserve care, too.
